The Kelley Family had been in South Florida- selling, repairing, and customizing GM vehicles for generations- since 1955. Then, in 2001, about the same time GM's new, robust, and power-hungry 'LSx' platform was really starting to grow its legendary reputation- we made the decision to follow our passion by opening a new, full-scale, Dynojet-equipped, GM performance shop in a fully repurposed building which was located at our GM-franchised dealership, Kelley Chevrolet. It was named Kelley Performance.
From oil changes to bolt-on upgrades, and all the way to fully custom built powertrains, we do just about all of it! Everything we offer- from basic maintenance to complicated, in-depth repairs; to full, complete one-off custom builds- the customer is always 'in the loop'. Furthermore, you won't find any 'keep out' signs, as unlike many other shops- customers are welcome to call or text anytime- and often times, even drop by to see the progress of their build. This is the most often positive part of the experience, according to our customers!
In our professional opinion, much of the automotive business (as a whole) has lost its "personal touch", one that was basically expected, as often is the case with most family-owned businesses. As such, a large part of this 'impersonal nature' that is sadly the new normal, is primarily due to the "industry turn" of many family-owned dealerships and shops having sold off their stores to one of several corporate models (of which we won't name..!). This is why we strive to bring each customer a unique "one-on-one" experience. We guarantee all work and services, and provide excellent phone and email support.
